On Wednesday, January 11 both Thalapathy Vijay starrer Vairsu and Ajith Kumar starrer Thunivu were released. Both movies are doing great at the box office and Varisu is slightly leading Thunivu at the box office.
According to the reports, Varisu has minted over Rs 46. 2 crores worldwide while Thunivu has only earned Rs 37. 6 crores. In Tamil Nadu, Varisu earned Rs 16.2 crore on the second day and minted a total of Rs 18-20 crore in the Indian belt. Meanwhile, Thunivu earned around Rs 14.42 crore on the second day in Tamil Nadu and around Rs 17- 19 crore in the Indian belt.
So far both movies have received strong reviews and Vairsu has slightly come out at the top of the clash. However, as Telugu movies like Veera Simha Reddy of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Waltair Veerayya of Chiranjeevi have been released, the collections of Varisu and Thunivu are expected to waver in the coming days.
