Vignesh Shivan indirectly hints that he won’t be directing ‘AK62’

Previously it was reported that Vignesh Shivan will be directing Ajith Kumar’s AK62 but for the past few days, the reports of AK and Lyca Productions changing the director of AK62 have been coming on the news.

Vignesh too has indirectly confirmed such reports via his social media handle recently. Those who have visited Vignesh’s Twitter handle previously know that he had the tag “director of AK62” and a cover picture of Ajith Kumar’s photo on his bio. However, after the reports of him not directing AK62 hit the news, he removed the tag as well as Ajith’s photo from his bio hinting that the reports are true.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that as Ajith felt that Vignesh’s movie won’t match the hype of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Thalapathy 67 he picked Magizh Thirumeni to be the new director of AK62. The actor has approved the script and the venture will be made with a huge budget of Rs 220 crores. The makers are aiming for a Diwali 2023 release hoping to clash with Thalapthy 67.
