Vijay Deverakonda summoned by ED for questioning

Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger which was released on August 25, has been having trouble with the Enforcement Directorate for some time now. ED suspects that the movie has violated the Foreign Exchange Management Act and has questioned director Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmme Kaur in this regard.

Now, the ED has summoned Vijay Deverakonda in for questioning as well. The actor is appearing in front of ED today, November 30 and he will be asked questions like how much remuneration he received for his role among other things. If reports are to be believed Vijay has yet to receive his full remuneration for the movie.

For those who don’t know, ED decided to investigate this movie after Congress leader Bakka Judson filed a complaint about the funding of Liger. Bakka Judson claimed that several politicians have also invested in the movie for money laundering purposes. ED then concluded that the fundings of the movie from foreign countries violate the Foreign Exchange Management Act.
