Zach Galifianakis becomes the first cast member for Live-Action ‘Lilo & Stitch’!
Disney recently announced that they will bring several sequels to iconic movies like Toy Story, Zootopia, and Frozen. Following that, Disney has now started focusing on the live-action remakes of the beloved animated franchise Lilo & Stitch. The project was first announced five years ago but it only started going forward in July last year. Now, according to the latest reports, Zach Galifianakis has been signed as the first cast member of this live-action remake.
No information regarding his role in the remake has been disclosed at the moment. Meanwhile, it has been reported that the casting team is currently in search of Lilo and her older sister Nani’s roles.
Written by Chirs Kekaniokalani Bright and helmed by Marcel the Shell’s Dean Fleischer Camp, this live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch is financed by Rideback’s Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich. The release date of the remake has not been locked at the moment but it is expected that it will release on Disney+.
