Hindu activists booked for disturbing the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has been in news ever since the release of the song Besharam Rang. Many have asked to ban the movie and many even threatened the theatre owners to halt its release. Despite all that controversy the movie was released today and it has been reported that as many as 30 Hindu Activists have been booked for trying to disturb its screening in Karnataka.

According to reports, the Hindu activists rushed to Swaroopa and Narthaki theaters and tore the poster of the movie. They condemned the release of Pathaan and even went to tear down the movie’s banners. Due to this incident, security has been tightened in the surrounding areas of the said theatres. The police department has also deployed a platoon near the theatres to avoid further similar incidents.

Meanwhile, Belagavi South constituency BJP MLA Abhay Patil has also condemned the release of Pathaan and asked the distributor to stop the screening. “They should understand the feelings of the people and stop the screening of the film. Release of such movies will spoil the atmosphere in society. The protest has begun today. Women are opposing the release of the movie, the distributor must stop shows,” he said.
