Gerard Butler and director Ric Roman Waugh’s upcoming movie Kandahar has received a release date. According to the latest updates the movie is movie is set to hit the theatres on May 26, marking the Memorial Day weekend.

This movie will mark the reunion of Gerard Butler and Ric Roman Waugh after Angel and Greenland. According to the makers, “In Kandahar, Tom Harris (Gerard Butler), an undercover CIA operative, is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.”
