Prithiviraj Sukumaran reveals some deets of his next directorial Mohanlal’s L2 Empuraan!

Prithiviraj Sukumaran who is a talented Malayalam actor made his directorial debut in 2019 with Lucifer is now joining again with Mohanlal to direct the sequel to Lucifer. The movie is titled L2: Empuraan and it is set to kickstart by the second half of 2023.

Talking about the movie, Prithiviraj revealed that this venture will both be a prequel and a sequel to Lucifer. The director revealed that he plans to narrate the story before Lucifer as well as what happened after his 2019 released movie. Viewers will be able to see how Stephen Nedumpilly became Khureshi Ab’Ram, the leader of an international crime organization.

Many stars from Lucifer will reprise their roles in this sequel and the makers are also hoping to cast many actors from South cinema and Bollywood. The director also revealed that the pre-production works from the movie are going on in full swing and they are doing recce at three different locations. “Depending on the locations we finalize, we will plan the shooting schedules and decide the timelines. It is because we can shoot in foreign locations only for a specific time period, depending on the weather conditions,” said the director.

The director plans to start the Kerala schedule of this movie by mid-2023 and later move to foreign locations for other schedules.
