Rishab Shetty’s Kantara to get a second installment!

Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara is one of the biggest hits of 2022 in Indian cinema and now to treat the fans, the makers have confirmed the venture will get a second installment. The producer of the movie Vijay Kiragandur confirmed that the movie will get a second part and they are currently thinking to choose between a prequel or a sequel. “Rishab is travelling. Once he comes back, we will discuss what we want to make – a prequel or a sequel,” he said.

However, the producer also revealed that they don’t have a fixed timeline for the second installment and they will have more plans in a couple of months. Nonetheless, Kiragandur also dropped a piece of major news recently announcing that they have submitted the movie for Oscars 2023 nominations. “We have submitted our application for Oscars for Kantara and have our fingers crossed as the final nominations are yet to come,” he said.

Coming back to the movie, Kantara is written and directed by Rishab Shetty and it is financed by Hombale Films. The movie features Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Prakash Tuminad, Naveen D Padil, and others in important roles, and it grossed over Rs400 crore worldwide at the box office.
